Mount Ephraim, South Australia

Mount Ephraim Cemetery.

The Mount Ephraim Wesleyan Chapel was built in 1856 to serve worshippers in the districts of Bull Creek and Prospect Hill. The land was donated by James Nicol. The first burials took place in the church ground. The chapel was demolished in 1873 but the cemetery was used until 1915 by which time 42 burials had taken place.

Below are SOME of the headstones of the Mount Ephraim Cemetery. In an attempt to save as much space as possible and increase the speed of downloading, only part of the stone is displayed. Flinders Ranges Research has a full photograph of each of these, and many others as well.
