South Australia's first flour mill was built just outside Nairne in 1841. A new steam driven mill was built in 1857 and operated by John Dunn from 1864. It was named the Albert Mill for the husband of Queen Victoria.
Below are SOME of the headstones of the Nairne Cemetery. In an attempt to save as much space as possible and increase the speed of downloading, only part of the stone is displayed. Flinders Ranges Research has a full photograph of each of these, and many others as well.
