Below is the ONLY headstone at the Cape Willoughby Light House. The Cape Willoughby Lighthouse was completed in 1852, the first in South Australia. Peter Clark was a carpenter, working on the jarrah timber staircase in the tower. He died here in 1891 and was buried at the Cheltenham Cemetery. When the lease of the grave expired the family declined to renew it and the stone was moved to the lighthouse.
